Researchers from all over the world are trying to answer the riddle of how primates evolved. Was there a dramatic shift in the ape that caused their brain to enlarge, or was life on Earth slowly but surely dying?

There are numerous theories. One of them is Darwinism, a well-known theory that was advanced by an English biologist who believed that natural selection, a variation in organisms that helped them compete, survive, and reproduce, caused organisms or life on Earth to change.

One such notion that was largely rejected by the scientific community was the "stoned ape theory," which Terrance McKenna, an ethnobotanist and ardent proponent of psychedelics, put out in his book "The food of gods" in 1992. Radical History of Plants, Psychedelics and Human Evolution.

Terrance posted that after consuming psilocybin contaning mushrooms, the primitive brain’s information-processing, adaptation capabilities rapidly reorganised and developed cognative abilities which led to creation of art, painting , flint weapons. He stated that shrooms grow in abundance due animal manure. thus it bought us out of animal mind and gave us tools to think, create , imagine .

Comment below if you believe it is plausible to claim that ancestors consumed mushrooms and went on trips to become celestial beings.
